HR Intern — AI-Native Talent & Organization
This role is currently in person in Shanghai. We plan to open a Seattle office soon; outstanding candidates overseas are welcome to get in touch, and relocation support for a move to Shanghai can be discussed.
We believe excellent HR is not a process operator, but a product manager for organizational effectiveness and an early investor in talent. You will work directly with HR leadership and business teams, using AI as a capability multiplier while helping build the team from zero to one.
What You Will Do
Technical talent sourcing and mapping: Support hiring for AI, algorithms, computational biology, and other advanced R&D roles; use AI tools to map talent markets and build a high-quality talent pool.
End-to-end recruiting: Coordinate interviews, follow up on feedback, assist with offers and pre-boarding, and provide an excellent candidate experience.
AI + HR: Use large models to draft hiring content, summarize meetings, improve HR SOPs, and experiment with simple automated recruiting workflows.
Culture and employee experience: Help organize paper discussions, technical salons, celebrations, and other activities suited to an AI4S team.
People analytics and operations: Support recruiting-funnel and performance data, onboarding, offboarding, and employee records.
Who You Are
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or above; 2026/2027 graduates are preferred. STEM, psychology, HR, or business backgrounds are welcome.
Available in person in Shanghai at least four days per week for three months or longer.
A serious user of AI tools such as ChatGPT, DeepSeek, and Feishu/Lark Base, with practical prompting ability.
Independent, critical, and logical; able to learn complex research and business contexts quickly.
Empathetic and confident when communicating with highly trained scientists and engineers.
Self-directed, resilient, accountable, and comfortable with concurrent priorities.
Bonus Points
Previous HR internship at an internet, technology, or AI company.
Strong English communication with candidates from international research backgrounds.
Ability to create simple recruiting posters or employer-brand content with tools such as Canva or CapCut/Jianying.
A genuine and sustained interest in AI for Science.
What You Will Gain
Direct exposure to frontier AI4S work and a rigorous standard for identifying scientific and engineering talent.
Foundational HR skills shaped by investment thinking and product thinking—not repetitive administrative work.
Practical mastery of current AI productivity tools in a real company environment.
Competitive internship compensation and a potential full-time offer for exceptional performance.
