AI for Science Product Growth & Ecosystem Lead / Operations

SHANGHAI · IN PERSONFULL-TIME / INTERNSHIP

This role is currently in person in Shanghai. We plan to open a Seattle office soon; outstanding candidates overseas are welcome to get in touch, and relocation support for a move to Shanghai can be discussed.

We are building Scientific Agents, science-native foundation models, and AI for Biology products. We are looking for a builder who understands research, AI, and growth.

This is not a conventional community or content operations role. You will work inside real scientific workflows, clarify the boundaries between models and agents, and build growth, developer ecosystem, and commercial partnership mechanisms from zero to one.

What You Will Do

  • Product growth and conversion: Own growth strategy for Scientific Agent products from early adoption to scaled use, improving acquisition, activation, retention, and conversion.

  • Learn from real users: Work closely with researchers and R&D teams, capture high-quality needs and failure cases, and translate frontline evidence into product and model iteration signals.

  • Research and developer ecosystem: Build an AI4S user and developer community across universities, research institutes, and life-science networks; establish repeatable community, campus, KOL, and developer channels.

  • Business development: Develop collaborations with foundation-model companies, biopharma organizations, and university laboratories across models, agents, data, and benchmarks.

  • GTM and analytics: Contribute to positioning, launches, and go-to-market strategy; build a growth measurement system and validate decisions through data and experiments.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree or above; life science, computer science, AI, or business backgrounds are especially relevant.

  • At least two years of growth, operations, or BD experience with AI products, developer tools, scientific software, or SaaS. Exceptional internship candidates with strong evidence of impact are also welcome.

  • You understand the fundamentals of LLMs, agents, APIs, and benchmarks, and do not treat an AI product as a conventional content product.

  • You can show verifiable zero-to-one growth, ecosystem, or commercialization outcomes.

  • You can communicate with researchers, engineers, professors, and industry partners; strong English is required for international scientific communities.

  • You are self-directed, analytically minded, and comfortable defining problems in an early-stage environment.

What We Value

  • Evidence that you grew an early technical product into sustained use and can explain the actual source of that growth.

  • A real understanding of why researchers continue using an agent—and how behavior reveals product and model failure modes.

  • The ability to create a self-reinforcing research or developer ecosystem rather than one-off traffic.

  • The ability to translate difficult technical capabilities into value that users and customers will understand, try, and pay for.

Bonus Points

  • Growth experience with agent products, AI developer platforms, APIs, model ecosystems, or DevRel.

  • Life-science, computational-biology, drug-discovery, or scientific-community experience.

  • Experience with product-led growth, technical GTM, or international growth.

  • You are a power user of AI and can demonstrate how agents improve your own work or research.

Application materials: Please include your résumé and the work that best demonstrates your ability—growth results, product analysis, developer/community programs, B2B partnerships, GTM cases, GitHub, or a portfolio.
